Our well water solution is designed to address iron, iron bacteria and hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg) odor. The Inline Chlorinator™ is installed prior to the PureMaster™ V-500™ Whole House Filter. This will dose out chlorine at a low level to oxidize the iron and hydrogen sulfide sulfur). These oxidized elements are trapped by the 5-micron pre-filter.
The Inline Chlorinator requires a carbon-based filter to remove the chlorine back out of the water before it flows throughout the home. The PureMaster V-500 does exactly this, and more. These recommended water filters will provide safe-to-drink, better-than bottled-water quality throughout the entire house.
The Well Water System #1 components include (in sequence of installation):
- Inline Chlorinator™ (controls iron, iron bacteria, and sulfur problems)
- 5 Micron Pre-Filter (traps oxidized iron, oxidized sulfur, sediment and particulate, comes with the complete PureMaster™ V-500™ system)
- PureMaster V-500 Whole House Water Filtration System (addresses chemicals, contaminants, odor and taste)
- Note: The shut off, drain and check valves are not included but are recommended for installation.
The advanced chlorinator, the Inline Chlorinator, is designed for ease of use on wells and helps to control iron, iron bacteria, and sulfur. The unit uses pellets that last from 60 to 90 days—much more convenient than other chlorinators which require addition of chlorine once each week. All instructions for installation and maintenance are enclosed.

The PureMaster V-500 will typically perform for 500,000 gallons or 5–7 years. It will address chlorine, chloramine, trace heavy metals, pesticides, VOCs, sediment and particulate, foul odor, taste and discoloration.
